Controlling font size in Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator for Windows
You can affect the size of your browser's fonts in two ways. You can either adjust the default font size in the browser itself, or force the browser to use your default system font size and adjust your system font.
Adjust the browser font
The simpler solution is to adjust your browser font size directly. To do this, follow the directions below for your browser:
Netscape Navigator
In Netscape 6.0 and higher, from the View menu, select Text Size. From the drop-down menu, click the desired font size.
In versions of Netscape before 6.0, from the View menu, select Increase Font or Decrease Font. Repeat until fonts are the desired size.
Internet Explorer
From the View menu, select Text Size.
From the drop-down menu, select the desired size (from Largest to Smallest).
Force the browser to use the system font
The other solution is to make your browser use the system default font, overriding the font size specified in the web page. To do this, follow the directions below for your browser:
Netscape Navigator
From the Edit menu, select Preferences ...
For Netscape 6.0 and higher, click Appearance to display more options, and then click Fonts. Deselect the checkbox next to Allow documents to use other fonts.
For Netscape versions before 6.0, click the + (plus sign) next to Appearance (or double-click Appearance) to display more options, and then click Fonts. Under "Sometimes a document will provide its own fonts", select Use my default fonts, overwriting document specified fonts.
Internet Explorer
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
On the bottom right of the page, click the Accessibility... button.
In the Accessibility window, click to check Ignore font sizes specified on Web pages.
