On Sept. 21, 2002,  these 10 people, representing seven regions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), met at the Children’s Worship Center at Lexington Theological Seminary in Lexington, KY to develop ways to extend training in  Children Worship & Wonder. Before this time,, Teresa Hatten, a lay woman from First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Fort Wayne, Ind., had been the only person conducting training in the Children Worship & Wonder Program.

Children Worship & Wonder Trainers now meet annually to increase their teaching skills, deepen their understanding of children’s spirituality and make needed improvements to the Children Worship & Wonder Storyteller Trainings.
