Disciples Care for Children
Disciples Care for Children Task Force
is dedicated to encouraging and supporting ministry TO children;
helping congregations recognize the important ministering role
OF children; and finding new opportunities of doing ministry
WITH Children. The Disciples Care for Children
logo is fast becoming the symbol of all Disciples programs that
addresses the needs of children.
One major focus of the Disciples Care for Children
Task Force is Developing a network of Disciples churches doing
children's ministry. With information on the various programs
and ministries in which churches are involved, the task force
will be able to facilitate the exchange of stories, knowledge,
experiences, programs and ideas between Disciples congregations.
The network will also serve as a strong base for advocacy work
on behalf of children.
Your congregation can become a "Foundation Partner"
in Disciples Care for Children by completing
a simple questionnaire. Providing information on the current
children's programs in your congregation and periodically
updating this information, will help the whole church better
minister to all children.
The Disciples Care for Children Task Force
meets annually to pray together about the needs of children
and to develop resources and programs for children's ministries.
