Resources in Marriage Preparation and Marriage Enrichment

Positive Solutions

What is Positive Solutions?

Positive Solutions is a Christian nonprofit organization founded by Charlie and Beverly Turnbo, Christian social workers, and family mediators. P.S. charges no fees for any of its services.

Positive Solutions offers Christian Education Workshops that focus on building (and rebuilding) healthy relationships. Current Christian education workshops now being offered are as follows:

"Awesome Relationships" — a relationship enrichment course for singles as well as married individuals. This workshop is offered on weekends at host churches. It stresses Christian principles of building and maintaining healthy vibrant, spiritually-rich, growing relationships. This workshop is based on extensive research on what it takes to forge a divorce-proof relationship.

"To Love and To Cherish" —a marriage enrichment workshop for engaged and married couples. This workshop is offered in retreat settings or at sponsoring churches on weekends. It promotes specific skills to help husbands and wives resolve conflict, and develop a deeper relationship, as well growing in their spiritual relationships together.

"Growing after Divorce" —a Christian divorce recovery workshop designed for those who have experienced the trauma of divorce in their lives. This workshop is offered through sponsor churches and Christian organizations on a Friday night and Saturday schedule. It focuses on forgiveness, "letting go," and growing spiritually.

P.S. is committed to developing and offering "tools" for building healthy relationships from a Christian perspective. Positive Solutions teaches specific skills to help individuals and couples address both their vertical relationship with God and their horizontal relationships with others.
