Young Adult Ministry: Where Are We Now?Conversations about how DHM will continue its ministry to and with
young adults are lively and ongoing. Several young adults took the
initiative to form a Web discussion group about the future of young

This site has become a networking location and a place to share
ideas that are working in Young Adult Ministry. An initial teleconference with young adults was held on November 16. The discussion centered on the varying ministry needs of an age group that ranges from 18 to 35. Discussion about the role and function of a Young Adult Commission revealed that the commission would need to have a diverse representation with a DHM contracted liaison to work with the commission. The group agreed that strengthening and supporting local young adult ministry was key. Conversations with other young adult groups will continue with the hope that the Young Adult Commission will be named and functioning by early Fall of 2004. |
