Disciples Women
Women's
Action Web: it's about the action
What makes WAW special? Most past participants would probably
agree that ACTION is what makes WAW a unique experience. The
simple definition of action is "the process of doing".
So simple and yet so powerful as women of WAW are moved to
ACTION as they observe women just like themselves in the process
of doing, doing by advocating, getting involved the their
communities, and helping others to not only have the basic
needs of food, shelter, health, clothing, safety, education,
and employment, but also self esteem and the opportunity for
a better life for themselves, their families and their communities.
WAW has allowed women to experience life changing insights
in Kentucky Appalachia, in Southern California, and will soon
offer opportunity to do so in Virginia and Washington, D.
C. The WEB of past WAW experiences has spread into similar
insights along the Border of Mexico, the mountains of West
Virginia, and inner cities of the U.S.. Women taking the risk
to join a WAW experience are seeing with their own eyes, hearing
with their own ears, and having their hearts touched by the
action taken by women of all ages and walks of life who dare
to make a difference.
Won't you join your sisters in the journey of WAW? Be prepared
to witness women moving mountains and to be inspired to make
your part of the world a better place.
